Turnout has been low recently. So low that people have questioned the legitimacy of carrying on with the same system we currently use. People need to feel like they're involved. They need to feel engaged and interested.

I have to make ammends for that low turnout, don't I? There is no way I can't participate. My friends have been talking about it for weeks. Its consumed every waking moment of my life for the past few days.

A lot of people don't think it makes a difference if they take part or not. I do. In fact I know that my input will have an effect on the outcome and my influence should not be under estimated.

Without me being present, the legitimacy of the event would be brought into question and I'm not sure that it should or will carry on without me.

And after I've finished playing 5-a-side, I may vote. I may not. Doesn't really matter anyway does it?
