Ok I posed for this photo. This is me in the drivers seat of a car. I couldn't really drive this car. It's automatic, I only drive manuals. I have a proud 5-years-no-claims record when driving. I have only ever hit stationery objects. No wait, that would be pens and paper and stuff. I mean I've only ever hit stationary objects - A Gatepost jumed out at me and a tree on my drive suddenly moved from where it had been growing for the past 20 years.
I never used to like coffee until I met MB. Once, he let me borrow the intraveneous coffee drip he carries around. Now I'm hooked. Here I am at Starbucks and for reference, I did not steal the mug. I like eating a muffin when I get my coffee. I start by working round the edges of the bits that over-flow and peeling back the top. I then start eating from the middle out. Some people think this is odd.
I usually tell them to fuck off.
I usually tell them to fuck off.
Well what else did you expect me to snack on? They taste like little nipples. Little gelatine nipples with a hard casing. Although I do worry about my fellow midgets who may have been ground up and put inside each one. But that's what gives them their midget-tastic taste.
I like going to the cricket. It's like a middle class version of fishing. I normally sit there and read the paper and when that's done, I'll read a magazine. And if I don't have a magazine then I'll just sit and chat. And if I can't do any of that then I guess I'll have to actually watch the cricket. I am very happy that Lancashire are staying at Old Trafford.
"I believe I can fly!" Actually, like Orville the Duck, I just wish I can fly, right up to the sky. But I am on the Big Wheel in the centre of Manchester. I have wanted to go on this ever since I moved here. But as soon as I got on and it started moving I could feel my little legs start shaking. I am not good with heights. I tucked my head between my legs and took deep breaths. I was helpfully informed by the automated voice that you can see everything from here: the top of the Arndale centre, Strangeways Prison, the Beetham Tower and the wall of Selfridges - you see that a lot. Second time around I managed to look up a bit so I could take some photographs. My little hands were shaking too much to get any good shots - they all look a bit wobbly.
We have a stuffed toy meeting every day. It's important to catch up on the latest developments. There's the Horse, he's a quiet sort of fellow, usually speaks in whispers. There's Owl who is today riding the Novell Gecko. Pig is chairing today's meeting - he chairs all our meetings because he is the only one who can fit in the chair. You can see me sitting next to Bashful. We are sitting waiting for Bob, the sock puppet, who has some new developments in our plan to one day change the locks and stop MB coming back into his house.
And so that is a day in the life of Doc. As Peypes said "And so to bed." I hope you enjoyed my guest blogging. I am available for similar stints on other blogs although I am a bit short of material. If you have enjoyed my writing please let me know, for those of you who want to know more about me and my kin, there are other blogs available such as Quickos and Greavsie - who often has contributions from his Garden Gnome Gustav. Doc loves blogs about stuffed toys.
